Delta 767 Lands on taxiway in Atlanta

Delta’s Flight #60 from Rio was cleared to land on runway 27R at approximately 06:00 October 20. The 767 inadvertently landed on a parallel taxiway. It is just pure luck it wasn’t a disaster.

I was standing at the counter for gate 11 in the Atlanta airport when a tall, strapping man in his late fifties approached me. Out of the corner of my eye I could see he was holding a large bible.

I ran across an interesting review of my novel last night.  I say interesting because it was quite obvious the reviewer was not happy having been assigned my book and in spite of this, it is apparent he liked it.

Proposals from FAA Aviation Rulemaking Committee: are they safety based?

I have read some “rumored” proposed rule changes from the FAA committee, purported to be put together for raising safety standards. One in particular stuck out; allowing pilots to fly 9 hours a day instead of the current 8.
