The latest edition of the Flight Journal magazine has a picture of me and two buds in old F-4 Phantoms. I opened it up and was surprised to see a blast from the past; three F-4 Phantoms from VX-30, in column formation. I’m in the lead, Steve “Icky” Crane is dash two and Rich “Mink” Bryant is dash three. The picture was taken by Aviation Photographer Ted Carlson from a KC-135 Stratotanker over the Pacific Missle Test Range. Here is a picture from the same photo shoot with the added bonus of an F-14:
